Day 9 Ain Sokhna to Safaga (Port)

We are in the hotel here until midnight when we have to drive about 5 kms to the port and start the border stuff again with the boat leaving at 4 am . we don’t know how long the trip is but it is about 200km on the map.

We sent a few hours In a hole, leaving to line up on the port entry after midnight

We had sit up seats on the boat to Saudi, on an Austrian made wave piercer with faulty toilets. We loaded well before departure, and we slept on the floor. I woke up with some manouverin and packed up ready to be off the boa with one other fellow only to find the boat was waving no arriving

Then 2 days in Saudi and then another ferry ride to Sudan

I don’t know what the connections will be like but we will try and get photos and info out as we can

This guy met us at the dock and flooded us around for 2 days. Beautiful car

Sam was flying and we came across this. All the cas you can see are bogged. Al in their we 26 cars to their axles. The one hour section took some cr more than 2 hours to get through We reversed out and heade for stage 3 working the times and rules expecting to pick up 20 places. But then the bloody organizers changed the rules as the leaders had got bogged and the results for them weren't good. They did the same thing inengalnd and in the mud in Greece, and back on the Peking to Paris It was very spectacular scenery and a great road which the merc/grader was just eating up. W would have got through the bog without any issues. The power and torque application by merc was perfect for the conditions. We had been through deeper sand just before this picture. Guides one ca got Ito strife and then the others had to slow.
First comp section road bog
We were heading into the mountains behind. Jus to the left a car came flying down the highway and ran smack into the back of a parked ute. Big accident but they all walked away Later Sam and I saw a bongo van taxi fll of people jus after it ran into the back of a stationary bus at ata lest 120kph. Their we're a lot of dead people. Pretty scary. They are all mad and driving good cars and wrecks and trucks with the canvas showing on their Yates all flying around and no known rules apply
Bad Drivers
A sh*t of the gps showing us in the water.
