We were up early and ready to set off to watch the rally pass by further north.
We received a phone call from ronnie who had driven us down and he had been robbed and lost his wallet and car keys. We sorted thai out and got him to the airport leaving his car here in the hotel car park
Then we shot off and hired a car, hopping for a merc but only got a bmw. We drove about 2 hours north and sat and watched them all go past then hooked up with the 4 door merc to the last check point before the finish
We then traveled with max and james in the vauxhall for the 30km run into cape town and the hotel, arriving a bit after lunch
As max drove the car off into the carpark, the differentila collapsed. Good that it happned now, but not so good as they intend to drive the vauxhaul back to cairo on their own. Sam and i went up to table mountain this afternoon as its beautiful and clear, and the view was spectacular.
We have a dinner tonight then its all over. We will hook up with Greg and Sam and maybe David and Mark, Max and James and perhaps Ralph and Kurt for a trip to cape horn and Cape Augulas
