We finished up at 2.30am last night.

We didn’t get away from the hotel until 10.30 well behind the rally. We weren’t sure about the repairs as we hadn’t tested the car.

We decided to miss the comp and we had missed the start anyway, so we headed straight for the border. We arrived just as the leading cars were rejoining the main road, so we missed the border ques and got to the hotel about 2 pm

We took off to town to finda good quality welder to try and fix the cracks but couldn’t find anyone suitable.

We returned to the hotel, and moved all the heavy gear feom the boot into the cabin .

The car ran well ar 140kph, and handled some of the suprise sped bumps they put on the highways without warning

Today the rally did a couple of fast dirt road sections, with one car passing a a giraffe

We left the BMW m5 crew in Nairobi and they were too sure the could effectively repair the car and catch up

‘news tha the red Porsche that was I an earlier phit had caught fire on the back of the toe truck destroying the ca and truck, it would have been very sad fr those guys as they loved their car

We are in a hotel under mt kilimanjaro , and we had a swim and there clouds cleared for a good view

Tomorrow we rejoin the race with what Sounds like some good fast gravel, roads

We also had a tv interview about the orphanage and the rally so hopefully tha got sem airtime tonight in Kenya.
